Abstract
Administration of Thiouracil to rats and mice, and thyroidectomy of rats caused increase in catalase activity of the liver. An hypothesis is suggested of a possible role of the anterior pituitary in causing this change. Normal mice inoculated with Ehrlich as cites tumor showed the usual fall in catalase activity and thiouracil-treated mice inoculated with this tumor showed a corresponding reduction in catalase activity. Keywords
