Abstract
In this preliminary communication, the influence of an electric field on the metastable blue phase BPS is reported. Experiments involved both supercooling of the BPI at constant applied field and increasing the electric field strength applied to BPS at constant temperature, and resulted in the observation of a new field induced metastable phase BPES.Keywords
