Abstract
The food intake of growing rats declined progressively with rising temperature. The food intakes of lactating rats kept at 21 and 270 increased throughout lactation. The intake of gestating rats kept at 340 decreased when they were returned to 340 after being allowed to litter at room temperature. Throughout lactation, the intakes of animals kept at 21 and 270 were greater than those of rats kept at 340.Keywords
