Abstract
Centrifugation into a rapid cell fixative is used to determine the conformation of red cells at various pH-values as a measure of red cell deformability. Discocytes show a good deformation into handbag-like forms; echinocytes and stomatocytes have reduced deformability with characteristic shapes of deformation. This publication has 9 references indexed in Scilit:
