The patient was brought to USAF Hospital Andrews at age 10 days because of passage of urine from the umbical stump since separation of the cord on the previous day. Questioning revealed that there was umbilical drainage only during micturition per urethra. On physical examination, a projection of the umbilical cord stump was covered with skin except for its distal extremity which was granulating cleanly.
