Abstract
Using numerical simulations of the sine-Gordon equation with boundary conditions appropriate to real experimental configurations, we find a coupling between the vortex and Swihart-type modes which gives rise to novel features in the junction dc current-voltage characteristics observed in experiment.Keywords
