Abstract
Administered electric shock, d-amphetamine sulphate, and chlorpromazine to inbred male mice to determine their effects on the strain's mean factor scores on 2 factors of emotionality (freezing and disorganization). Shock resulted in an increase in factor scores for all strains and a reversal effect on freezing. D-amphetamine sulphate reversed the strains' control position on freezing, whereas chlorpromazine had no significant effects on strain positions on disorganization. Results are discussed in terms of the inverted-U function of arousal or emotionality. (PsycINFO Database Record (c) 2006 APA, all rights reserved)Keywords
