Abstract
The method of Waldron for turbidimetric measurement of amylase activity of duodenal contents has been adapted to measurement of amylase activity of serum. The speed and simplicity of the method make it suitable particularly when results are needed quickly. Comparison of the results obtained by the turbidimetric method with those of a saccharogenic method showed that high amylase activities could be established dependably by the turbidimetric method. Keywords
