Abstract
Radioactive mimosine was isolated from plants of Mimosa pudica L., to which14C-labelled aspartic acid had been administered. It was shown by partial degradation that C-3 of aspartic acid is specifically incorporated into the pyridone nucleus of mimosine.Keywords
