Abstract
The structure factors for two thermodynamic states of the mixture He-Xe have been measured by neutron diffraction. These two thermodynamic states are the coexisting ones at the phase transition of the gas-gas demixing process. The Xe-Xe correlations, in the mixture, appear to be similar to those in pure Xe near the coexistence curve and having the same Xe number densities. These results suggest that this phase transition is of the liquid-gas type. Keywords
