Travel time measurement using infrared vehicle detectors

Abstract

Considering the results of the evaluations described, up-link information from in-vehicle units to infrared vehicle detectors was confirmed to be useful. The system also transmits information to vehicles. UTMS (Universal Traffic Management System) is useful and effective for practical use.
