Abstract
The mycelium of Asperaillus wentii, prepared by drying in a desiccator, a water extract of the fungus, and the expressed fungus-juice, all contain a maltase which does not hydrolyze a-methyl-glucoside, which is hydrolyzed, however, by yeast-maltase. In the same preparations there is present also a raffinase which does not hydrolyze melibiose, though it decomposes raffinose into melibiose and fructose. There are thus 2 maltases, which should be designated as glucoside-maltase and gluco-maltase.This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
