Abstract
Radioactive iodine was admd. to starved rats and their thyroid uptake was compared with that of controls fed ad libitum. Results showed a direct relationship of underfeeding to loss in body wt. The greatest amt. of I was taken up by the thyroids of the group fed ad libitum, and progressively smaller amts. were taken up by the thyroids of the underfed groups. Keywords
