Abstract
Oral glucose tolerance tests were performed on 300 systemically healthy male subjects between 17 and 22 yrs. of age. Subjects were classified as to periodontal status. All serum samples, (a total of 1,500), were analyzed for glucose. The results of an automatic ferricyanide procedure were compared to those from an enzymatic procedure with a specificity for glucose. The periodontal status, was not related to glucose tolerance. Keywords
