Abstract
A series of calculations has been carried out in which the optical-model parameters have been varied in the distorted-wave Born approximation. In this manner the theoretical () cross section has been obtained as a function of , , , and for the reaction. Some preliminary comments on the stripping due to the interior of the nucleus are also made. Using the results of these first calculations, an attempt is made to obtain best fits to the () angular distributions from four levels of at 4.13- and 4.69-Mev incident energy.
