Abstract
A total of 64 transitions were observed with an average precision of 2 keV in studying the gamma radiation from the 31P(n, γ)32P reaction using a Ge(Li) spectrometer. The neutron separation energy was measured to be 7 936 ± 1 keV. Comparison with (d, p) results indicates only a weak correlation between (n, γ) and (d, p) reduced widths. The reduced radiation widths follow a x2 distribution of ~2 degrees of freedom. Keywords
