Abstract
We study the implications of requiring that the "subenergies" and the momentum transfers of a multiple production process be in the Regge domain. We show that even for very high-energy accelerator or cosmic-ray processes, the are too small compared to the and the masses for one to apply a multi-Regge formalism for the two-particle → -particle amplitude. Some alternatives are suggested.
