Abstract
The autors present the results of studies on the behavior of oxidative and glycolytic enzymes in muscles of newborn rabbits, whose mothers have been rendered anemic during pregnancy. The results show that the blood letting of the mother during pregnancy has no clear-cut effect on the metabolic differentiation of muscle fibres. The most markedly expressed differences between muscles of rabbits born of healthy mothers and those of mothers rendered anemic during pregnancy consist in the presence of very numerous myotubs: 80 to 90 % in the latter, 5 % in the control group. Keywords
