Abstract
The report of the Commission on Graduate Education in Economics addressed questions related to doctoral programs but did not address terminal masters' degree programs in economics. This article fills this void and addresses the missions and methods of those masters' programs. A surprising lack of variation in the various programs is found despite different stated program goals and institutional characteristics. Keywords
