Abstract
By the beam-foil method a determination has been done of the lifetimes for the terms 3S1, 1D2, 3P2 in Se I and 3S1, 1D2 in Te I belonging to the configuration np3(n + 1)s. The results are compared to recent relativistic calculations of the transition probabilities. Keywords
