Abstract
This paper presents new information on the sensitivity of the Geiger point-discharge counter. The type of counter used here, with a cylindrical chamber, the open end being covered with thin foil, is not sensitive to electrons of all velocities at the same time. The velocity sensitivity depends on the voltage applied to the counter, higher velocities being registered at higher voltages. This information may have an important bearing on past experiments looking for electron polarization. Keywords
