Abstract
The Radiation Tracking Transducer utilizes the ateral photovoltages which arise from a spot of light incident on silicon p-n junction in order to define the position of the light spot. Recent advances in the theoretical understanding of this device are incorporated into a more detailed analysis of the device equations than was previously available. In addition, the effect of boundary conditions at the edge of the junction and the behavior of the device with a uniform background illumination are analyzed. Keywords
