Tubastraine: Isolation and Structure of a Novel Alkaloid from the Stony Coral Tubastraea micrantha

Abstract
The non-symbiotic marine coral Tubastraea micrantha was found to contain a novel alkaloid along with a previously known sesterterpene. The structures of the isolated metabolites were determined by spectroscopic methods.
