Abstract
The infrared spectra of NiO microcrystals are measured at various temperatures from 300 to 1273 K in the spectral region from 250 to 700 cm−1 by the thermal‐emission and reflection methods. The results are discussed in the light of the theory of anharmonic crystals. The anharmonic phonon frequency shift of the microscrystals is seen to be larger than that of the infinite single crystal. Keywords
