Abstract
Colonies of the angular leafspot organism (Bacterium angulatum) and of wildfire organism (B. tabacum) on the roots of "healthy" tobacco seedlings and of cover crops explain the appearance of the diseases on plants in treated soil or growing on new soil. These organisms, which are probably not specific tobacco pathogens, may be carried to the field when the seedlings are transplanted, thus causing the sudden outbreaks occurring after long periods of wet weather. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
