Abstract
A simple, step-by-step procedure is given for using available information to design a quantal assay of the potency of a Test Preparation relative to a Standard Preparation so as to attain a desired precision. Rules are given also for designing an assay that will yield a desired precision in estimating the L.D. 50. In each case, the rules lead to specification of the doses to be used and the number of animals, test tubes or other assay subject to be used at each dose level, to assure the desired precision. A numerical example is given for each case. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
