Abstract
A detailed description of Eulerian-Lagrangian methods is provided. The technique is developed by treating the steady convection-diffusion equation with large convective terms as a mixed hyperbolic-parabolic type of problem. The Lagrangian step is used to solve the convective part, and the Eulerian step for the diffusion part. Computational results for several one- and two-dimensional problems are presented. Keywords
