Scattering of Slow Electrons in, and Apparent Electron Affinity of Boron Fluoride

Abstract
Slow electron scattering in boron fluoride exhibits a phenomenon similar to that observed in mercury. An inverse fourth‐power attraction law is indicated and the apparent electron affinity may be roughly estimated. A possible correlation between electron affinity and bands observed in the spectra is postulated.
