Abstract
The body composition of 9 normal subjects and their basal metabolic rates correspond closely to the values reported elsewhere. Results obtained by the densitometric method and the total water method for the estimations of the body fat showed close agreement. The possibility of using cell solids as a metabolic reference standard was examined. Keywords
