Abstract
Anomalous horizontal lamination of nerve cells in the supragranular cerebral cortex, especially in the prefrontal region, was observed in the brain of a spastic idiot child of 2 1/2 years. Internal hydrocephalus, widespread skrinkage and gliosis, and imperfectly myelinated white matter was present in both hemispheres. The cell arrangement was comparable to that of a premature infant. Keywords
