Abstract
A simple light modulator employing an interdigital microwave circuit and a short electrooptic crystal is described. Greater than 30 percent amplitude modulation, obtained by modulating the crystal birefringence, has been obtained between 0.8 and 2.3 GHz using 5 watts of RF drive power. Keywords
