Abstract
Bayer showed that the pure quadrupole resonance frequency was a function of temperature. Kushida, Benedek, and Bloembergen showed that the quadrupole resonance should be a function of both temperature and volume. Many others have shown the volume or pressure dependence either theoretically in terms of partial derivatives or experimentally. It is the purpose of this paper to show the volume dependence in a compact form by considering the Debye influence on pure quadrupole resonance. Keywords
