Abstract
Spectral types are given for 49 blue stars whose photometry places them at large distances from the galactic center. The majority of the stars appear to be population I objects, 15-25 kpc from the center. Most of the remainder are relatively nearby blue horizontal branch stars or hot subdwarfs. One apparently normal O5 V star would be more than 50 kpc from the galactic center if it has the luminosity indicated by its spectrum.
