Abstract
Vector-meson-exchange effects are investigated for photoproduction in the region. An improved analysis using a current-algebra model with unitarity corrections and the most recent multipole analysis indicates the necessity of vector-meson contributions. The required vector-meson coupling constants are consistent with quark-model values.
