Abstract
The succession in an area lying mainly north and west of Bideford is described. The Northam and Abbotsham Beds, of “coal measures” facies, are followed by the slumped Greencliff Beds and then by the greywackes of the Cockington Beds. These are unconformably overlain by Permo-Triassie breccias. The structure is interpreted as a series of E.–W. trending, faulted periclines super-imposed upon a southerly early regional dip. The folding and most of the faulting can be shown to be pre-Permo-Trias in age. This publication has 8 references indexed in Scilit:
