Abstract

Comparative laboratory tests were made on the 2 common salt marsh mosquitoes of central California, A. squamiger and A. dorsalis. In xylene emulsions the dichlorodiphenyl dichlorethane was 2-3 times as toxic as DDT, depending upon the concn. used. A. squamiger was found much more resistant to both materials than was A. dorsalis.
