Demonstration of Human Papillomavirus Type 1 DNA in a Wart with Bowenoid Histologic Changes

Abstract
A verrucous lesion on the forearm of a 6-year-old hoy was found to be a human papillomavirus type 1 (HPV-D-induced wart. In addition to typical intracytoplasmic inclusion bodies, the specific cytopathogenic effect of HPV-I infection, bowenoid changes, were noted on his-topathological examination.
