Abstract
It has previously been claimed that tolbutamide does not influence metabolism of ethanol in humans or rabbits. However, using a more sensitive technic it was demonstrated in all experiments on 8 cats that tolbutamide (100 mg/kg) administered intravenously inhibits metabolism of ethanol, average decrease being 34%.Keywords
