Abstract
A single dose of endotoxin given to rats with obstructive jaundice produced death with intravascular coagulation. This action was apparently due to delayed clearance of endotoxin from the circulation. The finding is relevant to “hepatorenal failure,” which can be caused by bacteraemia after biliary tract operations. Keywords
