Abstract
We consider the behavior of lattice models of quark confinement at high temperature. We find that confinement is strictly a low-temperature phenomenon. At high temperatures a transition to a plasma-like phase occurs. In this phase free gluons form a plasma which Debye screens the quarks. Keywords
