Sector Retinitis pigmentosa: a Fluorescein Angiographic Study

Abstract
Fluorescein angiography was valuable in the study of the chorioretinal abnormalities in sector retinitis pigmentosa. The pigment epithelium was disturbed in a larger area than visible by ophthalmoscopy. In the impaired quadrant the retinal vessels were narrowed showing delayed and slow dye transit. Through the discolorated pigment epithelium leaky choriocapillaries were disclosed. In the severely affected patient, areas missing choriocapillary perfusion and retinal circulation were also detected.
