Abstract
We propose concatenated LDPC(9252,7967)+RS(992,956) codes for application to systems beyond 40 Gb/s, taking practical implementation into account. Simulation shows that the Q limit is 7.1 dB, and that the concatenation effectively suppresses unwanted error-floor.Keywords
