Abstract
Interference and distortion in the cochlea of the pigeon were found to follow quite closely the findings obtained for mammals. The middle ear of the pigeon is structurally much different than that of mammals so the exptl. findings offer further evidence that interference and distortion are relatively independent of the middle ear and probably arise in the hair cells of the organ of Corti. This publication has 2 references indexed in Scilit:
