Abstract
Chocolate pericarp color is due to a grayish brown pigment unlike other pericarp pigments in maize. It is inherited as a simple dominant. Tests with genes from the 9 known linkage groups gave no indication of linkage. The gene Ch is therefore believed to represent the remaining linkage group. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
