Abstract
Valproic acid is infrequently used for treatment of psychosis. Three consecutive patients with severe neuroleptic-resistant psychotic symptoms responded dramatically to the combination of valproic acid and neuroleptics. All three had normal EEGs and CT scans. Outpatient follow-up showed that the combination was effective in maintaining remissions. Keywords
