Abstract
A physicochemical dating method which utilizes changes in valency or ligand of transition metals by various physical and chemical processes is proposed. We have successfully applied this method to the dating of a biological material of coagulated blood by detecting the change of the ligand of heme-iron with ESR. This method may be useful for dating not only bilogical materials but also minerals and fossils in earth sciences. Keywords
