High spin states inTl194

Abstract
High spin states in Tl194, excited through the Ta181(O18,5n) reaction in the energy range E=80100 MeV, were studied using in-beam γ-ray spectroscopic techniques. Excitation functions, activity spectra, γ-ray angular distributions, and γγ coincidences were measured. The strongly Coriolis distorted π̃h92ν̃i132 two-quasiparticle band already known in Tl196,198 has also been found in this case. It is based on an Iπ=8 isomeric state located 292.8 keV above Tlm194, Iπ=7+.
