Die lokalanästhetische Wirkung von Metipranolol im Vergleich zu Timolol

Abstract
In einer randomisierten Studie wird die lokalanästhetische Nebenwirkung der Beta-Rezeptoren-Blokker Metipranolol und Timolol verglichen. Exakte reproduzierbare Sensibilitätsmessungen ist mit dem neuen elektronisch optischen Ästhesiometer möglich geworden. Für beide Beta-Rezeptoren-Blocker läßt sich eine kurzfristige lokalanästhetische Wirkung beim Auftropfen auf die Hornhaut nachweisen. Außerdem besteht eine Dosis-Wirkungsabhängigkeit. In a randomized study the local anesthetic side effects of the beta blockers Metipranolol and Timolol were compared. With the new electronic optical esthesiometer accurate, reproducible sensibility measurements are now possible. It can be shown that both beta blockers have a brief local anesthetic effect when applied to the cornea in drop form. There is also a relation between dose and effect.
