Abstract
Preview Because the manifestations of latent pain syndromes have been ill-defined in the past, misdiagnosis has been common. With more precise terminology, the syndromes can be classified into two groups: those with nerve injury (causalgia) and those without (reflex sympathetic dystrophy). In this article, Drs Hodges and McGuire describe both types and review current therapy.Keywords
