Outpatient Chemonucleolysis

Abstract
Experiences with 79 patients who underwent outpatient chemonucleolysis with Chymopapain for treatment of sciatica due to herniated disc are described. Of the patients meeting the criteria for the diagnosis of sciatica, 86% underwent successful chemonucleolysis on an outpatient basis with few complications.
